Paul Couture, PhD
Much of our heritage is written on the landscape.
I have a great passion for heritage, both natural and cultural, both imposing and humble. Some of this I have attemped to convey here - not always with success.
So much of our heritage disappears before our eyes either from human action (or inaction) or simply from the inexorable tooth of time. Photographs provide a fragmented record of what was or what remains.
The statute is a representation of Guillaume Couture (1618-1701) my great grandfather 9 or 10 times removed.
