Heritage Photography

Our heritage is written on the landscape and it surrounds us.
I have a great passion for heritage, both natural and cultural, both imposing monuments and humble shelters. Some of this I have attemped to convey here - not always with success.
So much of our heritage disappears before our eyes either from human action (or inaction) or simply from the tooth of time. Photographs provide a record of what was.
The bronze monument on the left is a tribute to my eight-times great grandfather, Guillaume Couture (1618 - 1701) in Levis, Quebec. By all accounts he was a rearkable man who left a bold and lasting imprint.
