Although the Raptor Centre will provide care and rehab for injured raptors, its main purpose is to raise birds in captivity and train them for work in the real world.
The birds fly free much of the time as part of their training. They work as pest controllers at airports and munical dumps; some larger birds are used to capture or bring down small drones posing a threat to aviation.
The wings of this owl are dis-proportionally longer than its body.
